33rd Annual Car Capital Auto Show
Date: Saturday, July 18, 2026
Time: Car Show Grounds Open 10 AM to 3 PM (free to attend)
Museum Open 10 AM to 5 PM (regular admission rates)
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum’s Car Capital Auto Show motors into Downtown Lansing to provide a premier auto show to the public. Thousands of spectators and 225 registered vehicles are anticipated for this year’s event. This year’s event will also include a special “Lansing’s Auto Revolution” section featuring vehicles produced pre-1940 by Durant, Oldsmobile, and REO Motor Car Company.

Friday and Saturday Public Tours
Date: Every Friday and Saturday
Time: 1:00 PM
Guided tours of the museum are now available every Friday and Saturday at 1 pm. There is no additional cost for the tour and there’s no need to RSVP. Simply show up a few minutes early to purchase your admission tickets! Tours are approximately 45 minutes long.

Lecture series: Downriver Detroit: The working class, the environment, and the bonds of place

Date: August 15, 2026

Time: 3pm

Join us for our next Lecture Series as MSU Professor Lisa Fine sheds light on the labor and environmental movements that surrounded the Detroit River to ensure working families could both live and play in the communities they work in.

A limited quantity of Professor Lisa Fine’s book Downriver Detroit: The Working Class, the Environment, and the Bonds of Place will be available for purchase and signing during the event.

Participation in the program is included with general admission to the museum.
