Join Professor David Ferguson of MSU’s Department of Kinesiology, John Gentilozzi, Technical Director of 3GT Racing, and Jordan Krell from Bosch Engineering as we explore the evolution of Michigan racing.

Participation in the lecture series is covered by general admission to the museum. General Admission: $10, Seniors (65+): $7, Youth (12 to 17): $7, Children (under 12): Free. Veteran: $7  / Active Duty: Free, Members: Free.

Time: Car Show Grounds Open 10 AM to 3 PM (free to attend)
Museum Open 10 AM to 5 PM (regular admission rates)
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum’s Car Capital Auto Show motors into Downtown Lansing to provide a premier auto show to the public. Thousands of spectators and 225 registered vehicles are anticipated for this year’s event. This year’s event will also include a special “Lansing’s Auto Revolution” section featuring vehicles produced pre-1940 by Durant, Oldsmobile, and REO Motor Car Company.


Friday and Saturday Public Tours
Date: Every Friday and Saturday
Time: 1:00 PM
Guided tours of the museum are now available every Friday and Saturday at 1 pm. There is no additional cost for the tour and there’s no need to RSVP. Simply show up a few minutes early to purchase your admission tickets! Tours are approximately 45 minutes long.
