Exhibit Chat: Lansing and The Arsenal of Democracy

By popular demand, we are hosting May’s exhibit chat on SATURDAY! Come chat with Michael Rodriguez as we explore REOTM’s newest exhibit, “Soldiers of Production: Lansing and the Arsenal of Democracy.”
The chats will take place in person but will be recorded for later release. If you cannot make the presentation but have a question on the topic, please add it to the comments, and we will pick a few to answer during our presentation.
Participation in the Exhibit Chat is covered by general admission to the museum. General admission: $10, Seniors (65+): $7, Youth (12 to 17): $7, Children (under 12): Free. Veteran: $7 / Active Duty: Free, Members: Free.

Assembled in Lansing: American250MI Exhibit Opening

On June 3rd at 3 PM, the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum (REOTM) will open its new permanent exhibit, “Assembled in Lansing: Building a Workforce. Building a Union.” This exhibit was developed in partnership with America250MI, the statewide commemoration of the nation’s 250th anniversary. “We are honored to partner with America250MI to expand our interpretation of Lansing’s automotive history and future. This effort underscores our shared commitment to preserving the region’s automotive heritage,” stated Michael Rodriguez, board president of R.E. Olds Transportation Museum.

33rd Annual Car Capital Auto Show

Time: Car Show Grounds Open 10 AM to 3 PM (free to attend)
Museum Open 10 AM to 5 PM (regular admission rates)
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum’s Car Capital Auto Show motors into Downtown Lansing to provide a premier auto show to the public. Thousands of spectators and 225 registered vehicles are anticipated for this year’s event. This year’s event will also include a special “Lansing’s Auto Revolution” section featuring vehicles produced pre-1940 by Durant, Oldsmobile, and REO Motor Car Company.


Friday and Saturday Public Tours
Date: Every Friday and Saturday
Time: 1:00 PM
Guided tours of the museum are now available every Friday and Saturday at 1 pm. There is no additional cost for the tour and there’s no need to RSVP. Simply show up a few minutes early to purchase your admission tickets! Tours are approximately 45 minutes long.
