Hoods Up!

Time: 10 am – 5 pm
If you’ve ever wanted to peek under the hood, this day is for you! We’ll have hoods up on almost of all our vehicles and we’ll have all sorts of engines on view from our 5 hp 1901 Curved Dash Olds to a 455 cu engine found in the 1969 Hurst/Olds. Docents will also be on hand to give you the scoop on our vehicles. Regular admission prices apply.


Lecture Series – “Mascots in Motion: Images and Stories of Automotive Aesthetics with Steve Purdy”

Writer, photographer, and historian Steve Purdy has been shooting and writing about the details of classic and collector cars for more than 40 years. His interest has always been piqued by mascots, hood ornaments and other small design details. Join us as he shares tales and photographs from his new book, “Mascots in Motion: Images and Stories of Automotive Aesthetics”

31st Annual Car Capital Auto Show

Pre-registration for the Car Capital Auto Show is now open! Your $25 pre-registration fee will go directly to supporting the operations of the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum. Friday and Saturday Public Tours
Date: Every Friday and Saturday
Time: 1:00 pm
Guided tours of the museum are now available every Friday and Saturday at 1 pm. There is no additional cost for the tour and there’s no need to RSVP. Simply show up a few minutes early to purchase your admission tickets! Tours are approximately 45 minutes long.
